Resident Evil 5

Platforms: Playstation 3, Xbox 360, PC

Average Playthrough Time: 15 hours

Release Date: March 5, 2009

Genre: Action, Third-person shooter

Summary: Years after the Spencer estate incident, Chris Redfield is now working for the B.S.A.A. (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance). He is sent on a mission in Africa with his partner, Sheva Alomar to take down a madman named Ricardo Irving who is selling Bio-organic weapons on the black market. But first, they have to go through hordes of zombies. As Chris and Sheva go through their journey, the learn secrets that could bring danger to the whole world.
My Experience: Resident Evil 5 is definitely a game to be played with friends. Although the game is short, you do get to play some extra modes after completion. I put in more time into "The Mercenaries" mode than the actual story. In fact, I've put so much time into the whole game itself, I consider myself to be a pro. Although the story isn't too great, it does have its moments and it is very fun to collect and upgrade weapons. Luckily, even though the game is fairly old, there are people who still play online. The community is great and passionate about the game. I give Resident Evil 5 a 7.5/10

Top Online Games to Play in Boring Lectures

2048 - The goal is to get the number 2048. You have to put two of the same tiles together, which will double every time. For example, put 2 and 2 together, you'll get 4, 4+4=8, 8+8=16, etc... It's really addicting and it will make time go by pretty fast.

Kingdom Rush - One of the most played games on Kongregate and the funnest Tower defense game I've ever played. What you do is set up towers to attack incoming enemies. Each tower does something unique and every time you kill an enemy, you get money which will help you in upgrading the towers.

Run 2 - Kind of a confusing game, but in order to reach the goal, you have to walk on walls without falling into endless space.

Super Duck Punch - Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses, or one horse-sized duck? In this flash game, you can try and beat up both!

Dino Run - You play as a dinosaur on the brink of extinction. You have to outrun the end before it catches up. A thrilling game, especially when you get stuck on a stegosaurus.

The Organ Trail - If you've ever heard of the Oregon Trail, you'd probably know what I'm talking about. Some guys decided it'd be awesome to revamp the Oregon Trail into a modern, post-apocalyptic game. The goal is to have as many people in your group survive.

M.A.G

Platform: Playstation 3

Average Playthrough Time:

North American Release Date: January 26, 2010

Genre: Massively Multiplayer Online First-person Shooter

Summary: M.A.G is a game with practically no story whatsoever. It can only be played online and has different game modes. When you first start the game, you will have to choose, a team: Raven, S.V.E.R, and Valor. There really is no difference between these groups other than that one looks cooler than the other.
My Experience: This game kept me busy for a while when I first bought my PS3. What kept me playing was the interaction between 255 other online players. As time went by, the number of players kept decreasing more and more. What really impressed me was the amount of players that could be on at once. each team had to work together, trying to win within the ten-minute time limits. It was truly a sight to be seen. What really sad is that this game's servers were shut down in 2013. I never got to play one last game, so right now the game is currently in my closet, waiting for the day to be used again... M.A.G deserves a 7.8/10 from the bottom of my heart.

Bioshock Infinite

Platforms: PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360

Average Playthrough Time: 15 hours

North American Release Date: March 26, 2013

Genre: First-person Shooter

Summary: The game takes place in America during 1912, except... with more advanced technology. You play as Booker DeWitt, a detective who works for the Pinkerton National Detective Agency. Throughout the years he has collected a heap of debts, and an unknown group of people want to help him out. The deal? To retrieve a girl named Elizabeth from a city in the clouds- Columbia. There, he fights against policemen and robots who have to keep him from getting to the girl.

My Experience: I only played this game once, but it was one of the best games I played in 2013. The controls are the same as your average First-person shooter- running, shooting, turning, everything. What I wasn't expecting from this game is the powers you gain called "vigors". Basically, you get eight of these powers, which range from controlling robots to summoning ravens. The vigor I used the most was the "Bucking Bronco" which levitated enemies temporarily. (Shown above.) Since the Bioshock series never appealed to me, I was seriously expecting less from this game. The story took some time for me to get used to, but once the ending happened, I put two and two together and my brain exploded. I generally don't enjoy FPSs at all, but this was an extremely amusing game. Bioshock Infinite deserves a 9/10

Resident Evil 4

Platforms: Gamecube, Playstation 2, PC, Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3

Average Playthrough Time: ~20 hours

North American Release Date: January 11, 2005

Genre: Survival Horror

Summary: Oh no! The president's daughter has been kidnapped! What's the only logical solution? Send a guy with a handgun and a can of herbs to go and find her. You play as Leon S. Kennedy, a top-grade agent who works for the president. He gets sent to a village in Spain to go find Ashley Graham, the president's daughter. There, the locals have turned hostile, thanks to a virus. Leon has to go through ferocious dogs, giants, giant invisible insects, burlap sack men with chainsaws, etc. He does get some aid throughout the story, but not everyone is with him. Resident Evil 4 is a great game to be played even after the main story-which gives you extra characters to play as.
My Experience: The first time I got this game, I didn't play it. Instead, my brother did and I was shivering watching him play- not because I was scared, but because of all the excitement. There would be things trying to kill you left and right, there were also too many close calls, where an enemy would attack you right after you heal yourself. What I love most about this game is the variety of enemies and trying to figure out what would be the easiest way to defeat them. The controls take some time to get used to and there will be times where you will lack ammunition, but you'll have to make the best of it-this is what survival horror is about. Resident Evil 4 gets a 8.6/10.
